A local man apparently picked the wrong person to rob Sunday. See Where The Alleged Attempt Occurred The suspect allegedly tried to rob a woman outside a Sunoco gas station, on Morang, near Lakepointe, on Detroit's east side. The woman was an off-duty police officer. When the man allegedly tried to rob her, the officer pulled out a gun and allegedly shot him. The suspect is recovering at a local hospital.
