Undergraduates from Michigan will pay 4.8 percent more to attend Wayne State University starting in the fall, while out-of-state undergraduates will pay 5.4 percent more.

The university's board of governors approved the increases Wednesday.

According to published reports, the university will apply for federal stimulus funds, which will help keep in-state tuition costs lower.
