The biggest moment of suspense at Sunday night's Grammys wasn't probably whether M.I.A. would win a Grammy, but whether she would be around to accept it.
The very-pregnant rapper attended the show as a nominee for two trophies, including Record of the Year for "Kala."
While she didn't win, M.I.A. turned heads for her stylish maternity dress on the red carpet -- and a spotted body stocking on-stage.
To acknowledge just how pregnant M.I.A. was, presenter Kate Beckinsale noted that the performer's due date was Sunday.
While M.I.A. held off on giving birth, she did deliver a performance with Jay-Z, T.I., Kanye West and Lil' Wayne on "Swagga Like Us," which is based on a sample of "Paper Planes," which won a Grammy.
M.I.A. lost out on her bid for Record of the Year to "Raising Sand" by Robert Plant and Alison Krauss.
