Local residents looking to take a trip across the border to Casino Windsor may be locked out as the casino awaits orders to reopen.

Casino Windsor remained closed due to some instability issues regarding the power supply in the province of Ontario, a spokeswoman said on Saturday.

Only security guards and essential personnel were scheduled to report to work at the casino, which closed Thursday night and has not reopened since.

The casino was expected to remain closed Wednesday and into Thursday morning when officials would make the decision on whether to reopen the building.
