'Harold & Kumar' Filming Brings Holiday Spirit
Third Installment Turns Detroit Into Christmas Scene

DETROIT -- The filming of the third installment of the "Harold & Kumar" series is under way, and has hit Detroit with holiday spirit.
Decorated with tinsel and lights, Congress Street has been transformed into a live Christmas scene for the holiday-themed comedy, "A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas."

Directed by Todd Strauss-Schulson and featuring returning main actors John Cho and Kal Penn, the film's production has been taking place in and out of Detroit.

Movie Shoot Brings Christmas In July To Detroit
As the first of the series in 3-D, the movie is a sequel to "Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle" (2004) and "Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay" (2008).
Detroit production will end in August.
