I was Miss Michigan Teen USA 2003, and then I went on to Miss Teen USA, where I placed third. It was really exciting. I've been singing since I was 6 years old. I listen to anything, like country, rap, pop, whatever. I will sing anything that shows off my voice."Jaros will join Meg Murphy, "Gimme the Mike! Detroit's" first-week winner, and future wildcard winners for another viewers' choice vote in April. The wildcard winner will get to compete in the grand finale.
Chiara Clayton, of Detroit, is the judges' choice second-week winner. Clayton performs with the group Kaleidoscope, which appears at some of the Detroit casinos."I love Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Teena Marie, Regina Belle, and Alicia Keys. They are real singers, people that make you feel. It's not so much in their image, or how they project to the people, but in how their lyrics, their delivery, their vocal ability, make you feel something when you hear it."
