In 2004, pop singer Britney Spears, one of the most famous women in the world, wed her not famous childhood friend, Jason Allen Alexander, at the Little White Wedding Chapel on the Las Vegas Strip in the wee hours of the morning.

A little more than a day later, the marriage was annulled.

The lighting-fast union made headlines around the world and helped solidify Las Vegas' reputation as a place where one could get a quick marriage that was sure to end in a quicker divorce ... especially if you are a celebrity.

But not all celebrity Vegas weddings end in disaster. Some of the most famous celebrities in the world have gotten quickie marriages in Sin City that have stood the test of time and led to marital bliss.

Such as? How about these five couples to start?

Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa

Soap opera star Kelly Ripa was still an obscure celebrity when she wed her "All My Children" co-star Mark Consuelos at Las Vegas' famous Chapel of the Bells in 1996.

Then 25, Ripa's marriage has lasted 16 years and produced three children.

Five years later, she was chosen to replace Kathy Lee Gifford on her syndicated talk show, which became "Live! With Regis and Kelly."

Ripa has since become a role model for mothers everywhere, successfully juggling three children and several careers all while maintaining an amazing physique and contagiously positive attitude.

And to think, one of America's most popular symbols of marriage and motherhood got hitched on Sin City's famous strip.

Jon Bon Jovi and Dorothea Hurley

In 1989, Jon Bon Jovi was one of the biggest rock stars in the world. Also known for his good looks, Bon Jovi probably could have been with almost any woman he wanted to.

He chose his high school sweetheart, Dorothea Hurley, and wed her at Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas.

Bon Jovi and Hurley secretly visited the chapel during a Los Angeles stop on his band's "New Jersey" tour. In true rock 'n' roll fashion, the then-fluffy-haired rock star and his bride tied the knot in blue jeans and leather jackets during a $65 service with a cab driver as their lone witness.

Bucking the trend of quickie celebrity Vegas marriages, the two are still married today and have four children together. In 2001, Bon Jovi held a concert in the parking lot of Graceland Wedding Chapel and renewed his vows with Dorothea, along with 75 other couples.

Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf

Since tennis superstar Andre Agassi is a Las Vegas native, his 2001 marriage to fellow tennis star Steffi Graf seems more like a hometown wedding than a Sin City nuptial.

Nevertheless, the couple, who celebrated the 10th anniversary of their Oct. 22, 2001, wedding in 2011, definitely deserve their spot on our list.

The tennis supercouple started dating shortly after meeting for only the second time following the 1999 French Open. Despite both coming out of lengthy relationships -- Agassi's two-year marriage to actress Brooke Shields and Graf's seven-year relationship with German race car driver Michael Bartels -- two years later they were married during a private ceremony in their Vegas home.

Agassi has been quoted as saying they wanted to be married before becoming parents. Their son, Jaden Gil, was born four days after their wedding. The couple, who still live in Vegas, also have a daughter, Jaz Elle, born on Oct. 3, 2003.
