Detroit -

For those who think haunted houses are the best part of Halloween, the season is about to begin.

Erebus Haunted Attraction in Pontiac opens Friday with four flights of fright.

New this year is an extended exit.  Just when entrants think they'll be reaching the end, "Papa comes home," said Ed Terebus co-owner of the attraction.

The end is a Chaos room promising complete disorder and confusion with one final challenge (room) to pass before being able to exit.

Erebus is the  Guinness Book of World Records holder for world's largest walk-through haunted attraction.

Also new this year is the time ticketing feature through Erebus' website. Buying tickets online with the new feature is expected to cut down the in line wait time to 30 minutes or less. VIP Tickets are also available through the website for $45, which will allow entrants to schedule a time to come and head right into the house.

Prices vary throughout the week (Monday through Thursday - $23, Friday and Saturday - $28, Sunday $25). All Walgreens locations will also be selling tickets with a $3 discount. Erebus is at 18 South Perry Street in Pontiac.

For complete ticketing information and a calendar of hours of operation, visit Erebus at www.HauntedPontiac.com.
