Local 4 news anchor Devin Scillian to perform at 'Stars in the Park' concert

Scillian has recorded 3 original country, folk albums

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – Many know news anchor Devin Scillian for his work on Local 4, but country music fans from Oklahoma to Denmark also know him for his singing talents.

Scillian will bring his musical and storytelling talents to the "Stars in the Park" free concert series in Heritage Park, backed by the Arizona Son band.

Named "Best Country Performer" at the Detroit Music Awards, Scillian recorded three original country and folk albums.  His album "Tulsa" led to four singles on the European country music charts and the song "Half Past You" hit number one in Denmark.

Scillian's album for children, "A is for America," was a companion to his best-selling book. He has opened for the likes of Toby Keith, Reba McEntire, and LeAnn Rimes.

How and when to get there

The concert, taking place on Thursday, August 9, will begin at 7 p.m. and will last until 8:30 p.m.  Those attending the concert are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair, as well as a picnic dinner.
