Miss New York is the new Miss America 2013.
Mallory Hytes Hagan was crowned Saturday night in Las Vegas. Her platform is stopping child sex abuse.
Hagan is a student at The Fashion Institute of Technology. In addition to the crown, Hagan will receive $50,000 to pay for her education.
In the talent competition, Hagan tap danced to a James Brown song.  
Ali Rogers, Miss South Carolina, was first runner-up.
