DETROIT -

Dave Chappelle is co-headlining Funny or Die Presents The Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Tour, a weekend tour launching this summer, which will be making a stop at DTE Energy Music Theatre on September 1st.

The tour also features comedy/musical act Flight of the Conchords.

Other performers on the bill include are Al Madrigal, Brody Stevens, Chris D'Elia, Demetri Martin, Hannibal Buress, Jim Jefferies, John Mulaney, and Kristen Schaal.

After walking away from his hit show on Comedy Central, "Chappelle's Show" in 2005, Chappelle has remained elusive. He has been known to schedule 'pop up' shows at various locations across North America, but a string of impromptu shows where he performed with Chris Rock, Kevin Hart and others in New York sparked rumors that he would go on tour.

Most recently, Chappelle performed at Detroit's Fillmore theatre in August of 2012.

Tickets for the event go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.
