Detroit-filmed 'Transformers 4' releases 1st trailer

New movie set for June release

DETROIT – The much anticipated fourth installment of the "Transformers" movies is set to hit theaters on June 27, but for now, we'll settle for the trailer.

This movie might mean a bit more for metro Detroiters, considering much of the movie was filmed in Detroit. As expected, there are a lot of explosions, and cool CGI. We were able to spot a couple of scenes in the trailer that we recognized from the Detroit shoot.

The scene below takes place right on Bagley and Grand River.

This scene below was shot on Time Square, near the Rosa Parks Transit Center, between Cass and Grand River.
