In a statement, Greater Media Detroit said Drew Lane and Mike Clark's last broadcast will be May 17. They'll take calls from listeners and past on-air contributors. The show has been on the air for the past 22 years.

In an exclusive interview with Local 4's Devin Scillian Drew and Mike said they were shocked by the news.

Mike said, "I was shocked. I didn't expect that and it definitely took my breath away."

Drew said, "Money must be in there somewhere" while Mike added, "But, we're not done yet we've not hung up the whole situation. Obviously we're going to regroup. We'll find something. We'll be back on a frequency. We want to stay together and go forward."

Drew and Mike will be replaced by 89X duo Dave and Chuck the Freak, who have been under a non-compete agreement since their exit from 89X in November.
