Eminem to headline YouTube's first-ever music awards

Show will be live streamed Nov. 3 from New York

DETROIT -

YouTube is breaking ground on staging its own music show, and there’s some big guns getting involved.

Detroit ‘s Eminem is among the headliners for the No. 3 event, which also include Lady Gaga and Arcade Fire.

Nominees for six categories will be based on videos that YouTube users have watched and shared this past year.

The finalists will be announced Oct. 17. From there, the public will vote on the winners.

The 90-minute show will stream live from New York City … on YouTube, of course.

Leading up to the show, nominees will share official music videos, covers, parodies, concerts, interviews and fan videos.

There will also be performances from Seoul, Moscow, London and Rio.
