Entourage movie: More of the same swagger

The Entourage movie has it all. And by all, I mean bros, bikinis, blondes, breasts, and booze. Lots of booze.

But it also has the swagger and posh lifestyle perks fans of the original HBO series will recognize.

The movie opens with Vince, Drama, E, and Turtle reuniting on a yacht (a floating island of women), and learning that Ari is out of retirement and now a studio head.

Vince tells Ari that he'll star in his latest movie, Hyde, but also demands to direct it.

Thus begins the plot into whether Vince can pull off a successful directorial debut with a blockbuster hit, and stay under budget.

Spoiler alert: he can't, and Ari runs to a co-financier in Texas, Larsen McCreadle (Billy Bob Thornton).

McCreadle's son, Travis (Haley Joel Osment), returns with Ari back to Cali to sort of watch over what's being done with his father's money amid the mansions and Lamborghinis.

The first classic entourage move happens when the cameos begin. At a screening party for an early cut of Hyde, a former Full House star, two Super Bowl quarterbacks and a billionaire investor show up.

Later on, Mark Wahlberg, Armie Hammer, Jessica Alba, Tom Brady... I can't give them all away.

And while Ari and other studio executives offer up rave reviews of Vince's progress on Hyde, Travis doesn't and threatens to pull his father's money.

Why? Because of a girl, of course. A woman to be exact, Emily Ratajkowski.

I won't give away her exact involvement.

Can the gang finish the movie?

I wouldn't say the characters have evolved in the movie, but they're lifestyles have.

Turtle is now a (slimmed down) millionaire, E is expecting a child with his ex-girlfriend Sloan, Ari has troubles in the bedroom because of his anti-anger pills and Drama gets into some viral video trouble.

At the heart of it, the movie emanates the idea that you can have fame, fortune and friendship. Which is the priority? That's the question for you to decide.

Bottom line, the movie is just a bigger version of everything you've known and liked about the guys. That is, if you liked them in the first place.
