Free admission to Michigan Science Center on Saturday for Great Lakes Bat Festival

The Michigan Science Center is free Saturday as part of the Michigan Bat Festival, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.  

This annual festival celebrates the unique role of bats in the Great Lakes ecosystem, and works to dispel the myths surrounding these amazing creatures. The goal of the festival is to teach people about the fascinating world of bats and inspire people to protect the environment. Spend your Saturday at this family-friendly gathering and learn more about these amazing creatures.

The festival features activities for children, families, educators and conservation professionals. Presentations, speakers, live animals, hands-on activities, games for kids, and interactive exhibits provide a full day of fun and environmental education.

General admission includes 250+ hands-on exhibits, live stage shows, Spark!Lab from the Smithsonian, Kids Town gallery, STEM Playground space and more.

Chrysler IMAX® Dome Theatre tickets will also be available for purchase.

Public parking is available in the DIA lot on John R just north of our building for $7. Note: due to setup for the Dlectricity evening event taking place throughout Midtown, spaces in the Science Center parking lot will be extremely limited and all cars in our lot must be cleared by 6 p.m.
