DETROIT - A Michigan city has made "headlines" on late night TV.
The Tonight Show with Jay Leno called out Wyandotte for a headline about their upcoming Cinco de Mayo celebration.
"You can always tell places that don't really have a Mexican population," Leno said.
The bit he shows reads, "Cinco de Mayo, May 4th downtown Wyandotte."
Cindo de Mayo in Spanish translates to the "fifth of May."
Wyandotte Patch reports the ad was for an event sponsored by the Wyandotte Business Association.
The "Headlines" segment usually airs on Mondays and is made up of paper headlines with funny misspellings, poorly structured sentences or unintentional double meanings.Jay Leno Wyandotte headline video
