Kid Rock will now play 10 shows in August stop in Michigan

DETROIT – Kid Rock will now play 10 shows at DTE Energy Music Theatre this August.

On Monday, the Detroit rocker announced he had added two shows to his previously announced eight.

Tickets for the added shows go on sale at 10 a.m. on May 2 on LiveNation.com.

The shows will break previous ticket sale records in Michigan, previously held by Garth Brooks (approximately 107,000 tickets, with Kid Rock expected to sell over 145,000) and the record held by his good friend Bob Seger, for most shows played in a row at the venue.

The tour is in promotion of the Detroit rocker's new album, "First Kiss."

As with his last $20-ticket tour, tickets from the 2nd row to the lawn will be $20, with reduced parking and service fees keeping the total ticket price at about $30 or under. $20 all-in tickets (including parking) will be offered from participating Walmarts and at the venue box offices, and anyone who purchases a ticket at Walmart will receive a coupon for $2 off their purchase of "First Kiss."

The first row of seats for every show will be held back and given as free upgrades for lucky fans. There will also be $20 special food packages, $4 draught beers and special $20 tour t-shirts.
