DETROIT -- Detroiter's with high-end taste buds are in for a treat when the upscale, Zaccaro's specialty food market in Midtown opens its doors at the end of March.
Zaccaro's Market will occupy $7,000 square feet of the Crystal Lofts on Woodward Avenue in Brush Park.
Owner, Cindy Warner said the specialty food market will bring a level of quality to a Detroit grocery store that has yet to be seen.
Zaccaro's Market will have a full deli with more than 100 imported cheeses and 70 imported deli meats.
Fresh and prepared meats such as beef, chicken, veal and pork will also be available, and many of them organic and/or grass-fed, said Warner. The fresh seafood selection will include trout, salmon, walleye, oysters and mussels.
The full wine room will carry thousands of bottles of wine ranging in price from $5 to a few hundred dollars.
An on-site sommelier will assist customers with food and wine pairings.
Its bakery will offer rustic and pan breads along with sweets, and there will be full produce, frozen and dairy sections as well.
In the center of the store, a full kitchen will be used as a stage for cooking classes and demonstrations.
Zaccaro's Market in Detroit is Warner's second store. Her first location is in Charlevoix Michigan.
"I've been watching Detroit's progression and have been fascinated by it," said Warner in a press release.
