Contests are nothing new in schools. But some say a competition at a school in Washington state is not only offensive, but potentially dangerous.
At Issaquah High School, "May Madness," is an online tournament where boys pit their female classmates against each other and vote on which is hotter.

Girls are encouraged to look their finest at school while the voting is going on.
It's been going on at the high school for the past five years but school officials say they are limited in what they can do because the contest isn't being run on school grounds. They say they are doing everything they can to discourage people from participating in it.
Police have threatened the contest's organizers with arrest because posting nasty comments under other people's names is a crime in Washington. But this year, the site has been buttoned up, making accessibility harder.
