Detroit Boat Show floats into Cobo

DETROIT – The Detroit Boat Show at Cobo has close to 1,000 boats and a new exhibit this year.

Nicki Polan, the show manager, said visitors can learn about the history of bathing suits and boats through their new exhibit at the show. It shows what was worn to go swimming from the Roman Empire through the 1700s and 1900s, and also shows what bathing suits will look like in the future.

The boat show allows people to take a look at all kinds of water craft, and purchase a boat among other activities.

The show runs from 3-9 p.m Monday through Friday, 11-9 p.m. Saturday and 11-6 p.m. Sunday.

The show ends Feb. 19.
