The competition gives four talented vocalists the chance to perform in front of a television audience of hundreds of thousands.  They will sing their first round of songs in front of the panel of judges from 7 to 8 p.m.

Al-Saadi was born in 1978 and spent his childhood learning to sing and play guitar.  He played in his high school’s jazz band, as well as local blues band, Blue Vinyl.  After graduating from the University of Michigan School of Music, the rock n’ roll virtuoso toured with the likes of Taj Mahal, Luther Allison, Buddy Guy, Son Seals, Gregg Allman and B.B. King.

In 2005, Al-Saadi released his first solo album, “Long Time Coming,” followed by 2008’s “In the Round.”  He has received acclaim from Entertainment Weekly and Guitar World Magazine, and Guitar Center recently named him one of the top four blues guitarists in the United States.

“Laith is one of the most diverse talents we have,” says Maroon 5 frontman and “The Voice” coach Adam Levine.  “Incredible guitar player.  Incredible singer.”

His appearance on “The Voice” provided him with legions of new fans that propelled his latest release, “Real,” to the top of the charts, thus proving that Al-Saadi is indeed the real deal.
