McDonald's to boost its customer service

The world's largest fast-food chain has taken a few hits in recent months, and Bloomberg reports McDonald's is responding by boosting its customer service.

McDonald's has suffered some rare sales setbacks recently and Bloomberg reports complaints about rude employees are also on the rise.

The company reportedly told its franchisees that one in five customer complaints are related to friendliness issues.

In response, McDonald's is boosting staff during peak hours and rolling out a new system for taking orders.

The customer will place an order at one end of the counter and when the order number comes up on a screen they can pick the food at the other end of the counter.

Local 4 checked with McDonald's about the report and was given this statement, "We are not in a position to confirm or deny this as we believe the original story was based on leaked information. As such we do not comment on leaked information or information we believe is obtained through unauthorized means."
