This Super Bowl serve a New Orleans inspired remoulade and shrimp

Skip the standard sauce in favor of this French-style condiment

Detroit – Want to try something different this Super Bowl without breaking the bank?  Here's a quick appetizer from Meijer Healthy Living Advisor Tina Miller.

New Orleans inspired remoulade and shrimp

Makes 8-10 appetizer servings
Ingredients
3/4 cup diced white onion                 
2 cloves garlic
1/2 cup diced celery                     
1/4 cup diced green onion
1/4 cup chopped parsley                 
1/3 cup Creole mustard or any spicy brown mustard
2 Tbsps. Meijer Ketchup                    
1 Tbsp. McCormick paprika
1/2 cup Meijer extra virgin olive oil             
1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
1/8 tsp. McCormick Cayenne pepper            
Salt and pepper to taste
1 1/2 pounds Meijer cooked shrimp
Directions
1. Place all ingredients, EXCEPT shrimp in a food processer and process until well combined.  Make ahead tip:  Sauce will keep refrigerated for one week.
2. Pour the sauce in a bowl with 1 1/2 pounds cooked, chilled shrimp and toss to coat the shrimp completely. Serve the shrimp on a bed of lettuce greens.
