Going bald is a worry many men know all too well, but a California-based company called HairDX claimed it has the answer for men concerned about thinning hair.

HairDX said it has created a genetic test that can predict who will lose their hair. The company said the test looks for a genetic variant found in 95 percent of bald men. HairDX reported men who test positive face a 60 percent risk of going bald before age 40.

The test requires a cheek swab. The baldness test is available online or in some doctors' offices. It costs $149.
