Nicotine patches are among the most popular tools to help smokers kick the habit.
Now, new research suggests those patches may also help cut back on those so-called "senior moments," Local 4's Rhonda Walker reported.
In a recent study, researchers at Duke University found nicotine patches boosted the memories of seniors with mild memory loss.
Doctors hope the research will lead to new drugs to improve recall without the long-term side effects of nicotine.
