Good Health Headlines: Arthritis Drugs, Iron And Moms
POSTED: Wednesday, April 6, 2005
There are new concerns about another popular group of arthritis drugs.
Researchers found that up to 25 percent of people taking certain arthritis drugs develop skin problems like rashes or eczema.
The drugs include Remicade, Enbrel, and Humira.
Experts said for some patients the benefits of pain relief will still outweigh the risks.
Iron and Moms
A study suggests new moms who don't get enough iron may have a tougher time bonding with their babies, according to Lila's Good Health.
Previous studies have shown anemic women may experience more postpartum depression, foggy thinking, and memory lapses.
To avoid the problem, doctors recommend that new mothers should continue taking vitamin and mineral supplements even after their babies are born.
