ANN ARBOR, Mich. - The University of Michigan is asking those interested in donating blood to be at Michigan Stadium between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday.
Participants will be able to donate blood at the event called "Be a Hero at the Big House." There also will be opportunities to sign up as an organ or bone marrow donor.
Participants also will receive a souvenir photo taken at the iconic stadium and get a chance to sit in the club-level seats, and the opportunity to spend some time with the Sugar Bowl Trophy.
To pre-register, go to www.WolverinesForLife.org and scroll down to "Michigan Stadium drive" to sign up.
The university is competing with Ohio State, as it does each year, to see which school can get the most blood donations and organ donor registrations.
More donation events are planned. Go to www.bloodbattle.org for more information.
