Lots of viruses are sending kids and adults to the doctor this week, but it's a different kind of "bug" that has local doctors concerned.
According to Local 4 medical expert Dr. Frank McGeorge, there are reports of three different health problems related to insects.
McGeorge recently surveyed cases in Wayne, Oakland, Monroe and Macomb counties.
In Wayne County, Children's Hospital is treating upper respiratory infections, asthma, and mono. Doctors at Garden City Hospital have seen three possible cases of West Nile Virus, and Dr. Michael Dionne at Internal Medicine of Grosse Pointe Farms told Local 4 he's seeing several patients with strep throat.

In Oakland County, Dr. Tim O'Neill from Clarkston Urgent Care also reported cases of strep throat and lots of patients suffering from bronchitis.
According to doctors at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland, several children are being treated for upper respiratory infections. Beaumont doctor Jason Talbert in Madison Heights said he's seeing sinus infections and fall allergies.
Upper respiratory infections top the list in Monroe County. Several other patients are being treated for fall allergies and asthma.
Doctors across Macomb County are also reporting an increase in cases of upper respiratory infections among children and adults.
Macomb County also had the most surprising cases, including three patients with bad reactions to bee stings and several people treated for bed bug bites.
