WARREN, Mich. - To avoid any confusion in Warren about Halloween trick-or-treating, Warren Mayor Jim Fouts said trick-or-treating in the state's third largest city in population can be either Wednesday, October 31 or Friday, November 2 with porch lights on.
"The date for trick-or- treating is not mandatory. It is an option I only suggested because of the weather forecast caused by Hurricane Sandy," said Fouts. "I was concerned about the safety of children because of high winds that were forecast."
Fouts emphasized that trick-or- treating is not something he can change, or want to change. "I was only making a suggestion, and I will be handing out treats both days." said Fouts.
