Eastpointe family sees whether Bunch O Balloons really works

Zuru Bunch O Balloons claims you can fill and seal 100 water balloons in 60 seconds

The children in the Orr family were excited to try Zuru Bunch O Balloons because they had seen the commercial.

In the TV ad, the company claim that people can fill and tie 100 water balloons in 60 seconds.

Reyonna Orr of Eastpointe had not heard of Bunch O Balloons, but she was curious.  She likes water balloons, but admits filling and tying them can take a lot of time.

"Filling a lot of them can be kind of tedious and then they go pretty quickly," Orr said.

Unlike her children, she had never heard of the product or its claim of filling and tying 100 balloons in 60 seconds.

"I wouldn't believe you. Fill and tie. That's the part I really don't believe. One hundred water balloons in 60 seconds, OK, I want to try it," Orr said.

The package comes with three bunches of balloons.  Orr, her husband Demetrius and their three children, Amir, Ahmad, and Ariana tried them out.

The instructions say the balloons can be filled in three easy steps.

The Orr family attached a bunch to the garden hose and filled them. They were full within 35 seconds and easily separated from the filling sticks. They were sealed and ready to be thrown.

The Orrs had a blast throwing the balloons at each other.

Once those balloons were gone, the family filled up another bunch, letting the water run a little longer.  The balloons were bigger, but a few more of them popped.

"We would fill it up for less time," said Orr.

After all the balloons were thrown, the family gave Bunch O Balloons a big thumbs up.

"It's a really cool idea. It definitely fills really fast. They were all sealed really good," Orr said.

"It was great because it didn't take a lot of time. You usually have to tie it instead of the water balloons exploding with water. It just seals it. The tubes seal it and you don't have to do anything else except throw the water balloons," said Amir and Ahmad.

Orr recommended having something bigger underneath the balloons to catch them as they filled and dropped from the sticks. The bucket they used was too small, which caused some of them to pop.

On its website, Bunch O Balloons recommends resting balloons on a level surface, turning on water and filling balloons to approximately 8 centimeters in diameter.  It also said to pull up quickly on the hose to release and tie the balloons.

Zuru Bunch O Balloons costs $10, which Orr thought was reasonable."I do think it's worth the money especially for a kid's birthday party or if kids are over to play. (Because of) the convenience of it and how quickly they inflate," she said.

You can order Zuru Bunch O Balloons online at bunchoballoons.com. They're also sold at different stores including CVS, Meijer and Walmart.
