11 vanilla, chocolate, neapolitan or strawberry ice cream sandwiches

1 - 16 oz. container whipped topping

1 - 16 oz. hot fudge ice cream topping

1 cup candy topping.  Choose from chocolate chips, m&m's, or crushed whoppers candies, oreo cookies, butterfingers or heath bars

Directions

Layer an 8x8 inch pan with foil - with foil extending over the sides of the pan.
This makes it easier to remove the cake from the pan when frozen.

Layer 5 1/2 ice cream sandwiches on the bottom of the pan. Spread a layer of fudge sauce on top of the ice cream sandwiches. Spread half of the whipped topping on top of the fudge topping.

Repeat with second layer ending with fudge topping.  Cover with plastic wrap and freeze for an hour or more.  Remove from the freezer and remove the ice cream cake from the pan.

Lift the cake, peeling it from the foil and place it onto a serving plate.  Frost with additional whipped topping.

Drizzle on some chocolate syrup and garnish with chocolate chips or the candy toppings of choice.

Place the ice cream cake back into the freezer and freeze for two hours.
