Faygo is ushering in its newest soda flavor with a contest that offers a 24K, solid gold bar.
The Detroit-based beverage company is partnering with Tapper's Diamonds and Fine Jewelry and Tapper's Gold Exchange on the campaign which starts Friday with a social media campaign.
Faygo 'Gold' ginger ale joins more than 60 flavors in company's beverage line.
The social media photo contest runs through March 29. Fans are asked to take and upload a photo of what or who is most valuable to them to Instagram with the hashtag, (hash)FaygoGold. The three photos generating the most "likes" will receive Faygo 'Gold' and a gold bar valued at $250 for first-place, $100 for second-place and $50 for third-place.
An in-store contest will be held Saturday and Sunday at participating Tapper's.
