You love digging into the classic lasagna casserole ... chomping through the noodles and sauce and cheese. Yum.

But maybe you're looking for something a little healthier? 

Here's Tina Miller, Meijer Healthy Living Advisor to the rescue with a new lasagna that's healthier without losing the pasta, the cheese and taste.

Chicken Spinach Lasagna Casserole
Ingredients:
1 (10 oz) package of Meijer chopped frozen spinachNuVal™ 100
2 cups Meijer boneless, skinless chicken, cooked, shreddedNuVal™ 31
2 cups Meijer fancy shredded cheddar cheeseNuVal™ 23
1/3 cup chopped onionNuVal™ 93
1 tablespoon cornstarch
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon Meijer soy sauceNuVal™ 1
1 (10 ounce) can Meijer low sodium cream of mushroom soupNuVal™ 27
1 cup Meijer sour creamNuVal™ 23
1 (4 ½ ounce) jar Meijer canned sliced mushrooms, drainedNuVal™ 45
1/3 cup Kraft mayoNuVal™ 3
6 Meijer white lasagna noodlesNuVal™ 61
1 cup Meijer grated parmesan style cheese toppingNuVal™ 23
1 cup Meijer raw chopped pecansNuVal™ 67

Steps
1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2) In large bowl, combine spinach, chicken, cheddar cheese, onion, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, soy sauce, sour cream, mushrooms, and mayonnaise.
3) Place a layer of noodles in the bottom of a greased (9x13x2 inch) lasagna pan.
4) Spread half of the spinach mixture over noodles.
5) Place another layer of noodles on top and cover with the remaining spinach mixture.
6) Sprinkle parmesan cheese, then pecans on top.
7) Bake for 1 hour.
Yield: 8 servings
