According to the Foundation of the American Gastroenterological Association’s research, nearly seven out of 10 people experience digestive health issues. 


Depending on how serious your digestive issues are, you might experience stomach pain, nausea, diarrhea and gas.  Others may lose the ability to sleep or the desire to socialize. 


Here are a few tips from the World Gastroenterology Organization (WGO) to help attain gastrointestinal health. 


  1. Eat small meals more frequently. 
  2. Eat foods rich in fiber.
  3. Purchase leaner cuts of meat.  Fatty meats can increase gastrointestinal discomfort. 
  4. Eat slowly.  Eating fast can cause you to overeat and upset your stomach and digestive tract.
  5. Maintain a healthy body weight. Gaining and losing weight unintentionally can cause digestive discomfort.
