Soda pop vending machines to count calories for you
Calorie-counting machines to launch in Chicago
When you select a soda from the vending machine the calorie count will soon be right at your fingertips.
Coke, Pepsi and Dr. Pepper are rolling out new vending machines that'll feature calorie counts on the buttons of the machines.
The machines will launch in Chicago and San Antonio municipal buildings next year.
The American Beverage Association - which represents Coca-Cola, Pepsico and Dr. Pepper Snapple group -says the machines will remind customers to consider alternatives. The machines will display messages such as “try a low-calorie beverage."
