Nine West is taking some flak for its latest shoe campaign aimed at women.

One ad, that’s complete with a bulls eye and arrows, promises to help women in their hunt for a “starter husband.”

“Go get ‘em Tiger. Whether you’re looking for Mr. Right or Mr. Right Now … We got a shoe for that,” it reads.

Listed on the retailer’s website under “shoe occasions” is also “First day of Kindergarten.”

“The bus arrives and so do the waterworks. Then it hits you: mommy now has the weeks off. Wipe those happy-sad tears … we got a shoe for that.”

And in a print ad, a woman holds a bag with flip flops peeking out. The caption: “Anticipatory walk of shame.”
