DETROIT – The Michigan Humane Society (MHS) wants to know if your pet is the "most adorable" in the state.
Yes, the entire state of Michigan. Do you have a pet who could win this prestigious title?

If so, head to MichiganHumane.org/photocontest with a photo of your pet and $25 ready for donation (that's the minimum donation required to enter the contest). The MHS says the minimum donation entry fee will be reduced to $20 for a limited time.
"We get so many adorable submissions for this contest that picking a winner is just too tall a task for any one individual or organization," said Michael Robbins, MHS Chief Marketing Officer, in a news release. "That's why we're leaving this choice to Michigan's pet owners. Best of all, it will help MHS change animal lives."

The first 250 entrants will automatically receive a spot in the MHS 2016 Pet Calendar. Contest participants can email friends and family to support their campaign by voting with a donation; each dollar will represent one vote. The candidate with the most votes by 10:59 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2015 will be named "Michigan's Most Adorable Pet."
In addition to earning the title of Michigan's Most Adorable Pet, the winner will also receive a special "pet of the month" placement in the MHS 2016 Pet Calendar, a 15 percent discount on veterinary care for one year at any MHS veterinary center, and an MHS prize pack and free dog or cat food for six months, compliments of Purina. Great prizes will also be awarded for second and third place.
