A police officer called because of a pit bull on the loose found out Red wasn't a big scary dog, but was just looking for some love.
According to The Huffington Post, deputy Mark Elsaid of the Lee County Sheriff's Office in Florida spotted the pooch and decided to take the time to make friends before returning Red to his owner.

A spokeswoman for the Sheriff's Office told HuffPost that the dog "just wanted to lick the officer and love him."
The Sheriff's Office posted the story on its Facebook page in hopes of combating negative stigma against pit bulls.
