DETROIT – One of the hottest food joints in the country is finally making its way to Michigan.
Shake Shack will open its first Michigan location in Downtown Detroit in 2017, inside the First National Building located near Campus Martius Park.

The building is owned by Dan Gilbert, and has undergone renovations in recent years.
Shake Shack is one of the fastest growing food chains, becoming a public company in 2014.
The chain offers New York-style hamburgers, as well as hotdogs, fries and milkshakes.
In addition to the Shack classics, the menu will feature location-specific frozen custard concretes. Guests will be able to hang out on the patio overlooking the park and sip on a selection of hand-picked wine and local craft beer.
The company boasts its use of all-natural meat.
Shake Shack started as a food cart outside Madison Square Park in 2000, and after gaining popularity, opened their first kiosk-style restaurant in 2004.
Since, Shake Shack has expanded internationally, with locations across the world, including Tokyo, Dubai and Moscow.
