Live in the D: One week later

Local 4's all-new "Live in the D" had a jam-packed five days, with hosts Chuck Gaidica and Tati Amare celebrating the show's one-week anniversary today.

Tati's final stop on her week-long tour of Detroit was just down the street from the Local 4 studios, an organic urban garden right in the middle of the city called Lafayette Greens. Produce from the garden is donated to Gleaner's Community Food Bank.

Continuing with the garden theme, Farmer John's Home and Garden gave viewers some simple ways to keep their yards filled with color well into the fall and demonstrated the best way to plant bulbs for the spring.

The "Dine in the D" segment featured a chef from Ferndale's "The Fly Trap" who taught the hosts how to make Huevos Rancheros.  And professionals from around Detroit discussed the hot topics of the day during the show's "What's the Buzz?" segment.

More than 5,000 people entered the $500 Somerset Collection gift card giveaways this week. And coming up next week, there will be a huge wedding giveaway, including the ceremony, the reception, the flowers, rings and more.
