Live in the D: Science and cocktails

DETROIT – Today on Local 4's new "Live in the D" Chuck Gaidica and Tati Amare were shaking things up, as in cocktails. So who was the better bartender? You can check it out on our "Live in the D" page.

Next the hosts dabbled with art that actually explodes, all under the supervision of The Michigan Science Center, of course. It was an experiment most kids, and even some adults, would love to try.

And Chuck took Tati to a few new places in the city – the stunning, 92-million-dollar makeover of the historic David Whitney building and a peek at Detroit Country Day's state-of-the-art classrooms where they've broken down the walls to encourage a new way of learning.

The show wrapped up by featuring a local startup company that is garnering national attention. Plus, a lucky viewer won a $500 Somerset Collection gift card. This giveaway will continue the rest of this week.
