Cincinnati, OH -- (Sports Network) - The Texas Rangers acquired outfielder Josh Hamilton from the Cincinnati Reds on Friday in exchange for a pair of pitchers, right-hander Edinson Volquez and minor-leaguer Danny Herrera.Hamilton, 26, battled drug and legal problems for much of his professional career before getting clean having a career-season last year. He hit .292 with 19 home runs and 47 RBI, playing in 90 games during an injury-plagued 2007 rookie campaign. "It's an exciting day for the Rangers family," General Manager Jon Daniels said. Over parts of three major league seasons, the 24-year-old Volquez has a 3-11 record with a 7.20 ERA in 20 games, 17 as a starter.
