VANCOUVER, Wash. -- A coffee house got a hold of some of the world's finest coffee and expects it to go fast in spite of a price tag of about $15, Portland station KPTV reported.
Stumptown Coffee Roasters in Vancouver, Wash., started selling the Panama Esmeralda Especial Reserva for $13.85 per cup plus tax.
The shop even took prepaid deposits so coffee fanatics could reserve a cup ahead of time.
A man who tried the luxurious coffee said it tasted like "black gold."
"If this were a little fatter," Todd Boyd said holding up his wallet. "I would gladly pay $15 for a cup."
"I was kinda curious when they were advertising it, what does a $15 cup of coffee actually taste like? And you can taste the difference, but it's not something I would like to drink every day," Jacob Swenson said.
Stumptown got a hold of just 50 pounds of the stuff, so sampling the coffee is going to be a rare experience.
