Buying Worthwhile Camcorders and Cameras

Camcorders and digital cameras capture some of your family's most important moments. But, with so many brands and features to choose from right now, we want to make sure you're really getting what you're looking for before you spend your hard-earned money.

Consumer Reports rates the $250.00 Canon ZR900 miniDV cam the top camcorder with 'good' picture quality and 50 minutes of battery life.

Sony's CyberShot DSC-W300 took Consumer Reports top spot for digital cameras. The 14 megapixel camera costs $330 and it rated 'very good' when it came to image quality. Tonight, on Local 4 News at 6 Consumer Investigator Ruth Spencer takes a look at some more of Consumer Reports' top-rated camcorders and digital cameras.
