DETROIT -

We're heading into the peak of the prom season in Metro-Detroit, and plenty of teenagers are getting ready for their big night. The Luigi Bruni salon in Birmingham is hosting its second annual Prom Preview to help them look their best.

The event will have something for everyone: music, models, hot fashion, and hot beauty tips. Anyone who's looking for a new look will probably see something they like at the salon.

"There's going to be food, swag bags, tons of goodies, a fun night for high schoolers to come and experience what's going to be cool for prom this year," said salon director Haley Cassar.

Fashion Rocks

Ruth to the Rescue recently spoke with three teenage girls who will be attending the Prom Preview, and are each making plans to go to prom this year. They said fashion has become huge part of the prom tradition.

"I'm so excited for the dresses, honestly, just to see what everyone's wearing. I'm almost more excited for pictures than for the actual dance,"said Erika Smith, a senior at Eisenhower High School.

If you're looking to get your prom groove on, you might want to stop by Luigi Bruini this Friday night, April 19th. The event is free. The salon is located at 706 North Old Woodward in Birmingham. The Prom Preview runs from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
