DETROIT -- Detroit police said they are looking for a woman who used a knife to rob three Family Dollar stores in the past week.
Security cameras in the stores show who police believe is the same woman in all three cases strolling up store aisles before approaching the register.
Police said the woman picks out items, but instead of pulling out a wallet to pay for them once at the register, she pulls out a long-blade knife and demands cash.
The Family Dollar stores on Joy Road, Southfield Road and Grand River Avenue have all been robbed.
Two other people have also been seen accompanying the woman in the robberies.
Police said they believe the group is from the area and will strike another store.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Detroit Police Department’s Armed Robbery Team at 313-596-5295.
