Boston, MA -- Celtics guard Paul Pierce aggravated an injury to his left hand in Boston's loss to Houston on Wednesday.

Pierce sat out the final minutes of the game with ice on his hand. He originally injured his left index finger and left ring finger diving after a loose ball in Tuesday's loss in Milwaukee.

Pierce, who has played in all 41 games this season for Boston, entered Wednesday's game seventh in the league in scoring with a 23.8 average. He will have X-rays taken on Thursday.

In the 95-80 loss to the Rockets, Pierce had just four points. He was 1-for-10 from the field, including 0-for-4 from three-point range.
