New Live in the D commemorates 'one-day anniversary'

Local 4's all-new "Live in the D" celebrated its "one-day anniversary," as funny man and host Chuck Gaidica called it.

To commemorate, he surprised co-host Tati Amare with a small cake. And she said that kicked everything off on the right foot.

There was a Motown theme to Tuesday's show. Gaidica and Amare tried out ballroom dancing "Motown-style." And Chuck took Tati on her first trip to Hitsville U.S.A.

"I was completely geeked out," said Amare. "When you get there and you see what they were able to accomplish in that small space, literally a man and his dream, it was extraordinary."

Beer and cheese soup was on the menu in the on-going segment called "Dine in the D."

A chef from Greenfield Village showed the hosts how techniques used in the 1700s can help in the kitchen today.

"The cooking is going well as long as Tati handles the knives. If we switch this up tomorrow I could lose a hand," joked Gaidica.

As always, the show was interactive with viewers watching at home and online. Feedback has been positive according to Social Media Producer Ken Haddad.

"Some have said it was their first time seeing the show and they'll definitely continue to watch," said Haddad.
