CAMBRIDGE TOWNSHIP, Mich. -

Authorities say a fisherman has died and another was hospitalized after they fell through ice on a lake in Lenawee County.

The sheriff's department says 62-year-old Michael Shofstall of Saline was pronounced dead at a Jackson hospital after the accident Thursday on Timber Lake.

The lake is located in Cambridge Township, about 60 miles southwest of Detroit.

The sheriff's department says 62-year-old Gerald Lee Smith of Grass Lake was being treated at a hospital.
